risk of blood clot with monistat?

Okay, this may be way out there, and I know I'm opening up myself to flaming, but I'm legitimately concerned so please be nice.

I read from several sources (including the book my dr. told me to read) that you should be careful when receiving oral sex during pregnancy b/c if DH actually blows air into you, you could get a blood clot and die. 

I recently found out I have a yeast infection, and my dr. told me to use Monistat. I know that is commonly used during pregnancy, but I'm wondering if it carries the same risk of air getting up there when you are inserting the cream. It seems pretty probable to me. What does everyone think?
