Since you are all in the area, I wanted to share with you also. 

We had to take DS to the ER on Friday night because he was having alot of breathing problems.  Turns out, he has Croup.  Apparently it is really going around right now and its something that can hit them very quickly.  He had a slight cough at 9:30 when I layed him down and by 11:30 he was having bad coughing fits and trouble breathing.  He calmed down and at 1:30 that morning he woke me up gasping for breath.  If you DC comes down with a seal-like barking cough you need to get them to see your pedi.

Oh poor thing! My DD has had croup 3 times since November and it is definitely not fun.

So how long did it take until your DD was normal again?  No cough or anything?

It took about 8 days. Did you get a nebulizer to use for breathing treatments? That really helped Sophia each time.

They said neb treatments won't work at home.  The only one they would do would be at the hosptial and he would have to be admitted for it.  The steroid they gave him helped him alot.

Noah has also had it 3 times.  We just turn the humidifier on high and he does pretty well.  It only lasts a few days for him.
