This weekend we went to see DH's cousins.  While we were out, his cousin Heather asks what the name of our LO will be.  We told her Brayden and she thinks for a minute and then says "yeah, he's totally going to get beat up".  I was so shocked all I could say was, "no, he will not".  Everyone else has had nothing but nice things to say about the name and she says this? Geez.

Wow, that was a ballsy thing to say. She probably didn't even realize how rude that was. I would have put her on the spot and asked why she thought so.

I may be a bit bias about the name because my DH's name is Brayton, but I love it!! ?It is so original. ?BTW: DH was never picked on because of it either. ?He actually gets a lot compliments because of it. ?

Some people just don't use their brains. My SIL told me she was disappointed that we were having a boy. She also said "At least you have one girl, that should be some consolation to you." It was totally weird because I've never given any indication that I only want girls. I'm actually excited to be having a boy. Sometimes people are just jerks and deserved to be punched.

Ok so give her a karate chop in the throat for me next time you see her. My 5 year old son's name is Brayden. Same spelling and everything. I LOVE it and he has NEVER, repeat, NEVER been picked on. What a flippin idiot. Dont let people get  to you about it. The way I see it is that most of them have had their kids and had their chance to  pick names so they can BUTT OUT!
