2nd Trimester

When did you....

have to remove your rings, if at all? There is a girl at work and she is due in two weeks and hasnt had to take off any of her rings. I am nearly 25 weeks and I had to take mine off a week ago! It was getting tight and I was afraid that after another week, it was going to have to be cut off!

Re: When did you....

  • my wedding ring is actually a little loose right now.  Go figure.

  • With #1, I waited too long and couldn't get them off! I was so afraid of needing a c-section and having to cut my rings. I didn't though and didn't get them off until a few weeks after I delivered. Guess I'll be more careful this time!
  • i am starting to get sausage fingers and the rings are a little tight...i figure i dont have much time left...my rings are a size 5 i think though, so not much room to give...

  • Thankfully mine still fit.  I would hate to have to take them off.
  • With DS I had to take them off around 28 weeks. So far so good with this one. Hoping to not take them off at all.
  • mine fit the same so far.  I'm pretty amazed actually, though I know I still have quite a while to go.  I just always thought I'd be one of those woman who gains weight/bloats everywhere, but so far I am all belly.  I don't expect it to last though!

I was pretty bummed when I had to take mine off. My fingers dont look any bigger, but I guess they are! I went and bought just a plain white gold band to wear instead and when baby comes I will have it sized and wear it on my other hand.

  • about 3 weeks ago do like 23 weeks... but im lucky (i guess) that i gained weight between my engagement and my wedding so my wedding ring still fits, ive only had to take off my engagement ring...  and its only certain times when theyre swollen, but i decided to take them off before i lost them with all the off and on
  • Mine still fits just fine but I'm assuming I'll have to take it off when it gets warmer out.

  • I haven't had any change in my hands or feet thankfully. I'm still haunted by Lily's Cankles.?

Hhaha! I was thinking about that when I wrote this post. Poor girl... it looks painful!

  • I took mine off a week ago.  I'm now wearing my wedding set around my neck.
  • Mine fit about the same as they have since the day we put them on.  I'm sure once summer comes that might be a different story.
  • A couple weeks ago I switched to a larger ring I had lying around. I did it at first because of a warm spell (my fingers always swell in the heat) but then just didn't switch back to my regular ring. I doubt it would fit comfortably now anyway.?

  • I had to take mine off about 2 weeks ago... It breaks my heart to not wear them!  I feel like everyone is looking at me like some single girl who got knocked up!!  LOL
  • I haven't had to take my off yet (still really early)  I do take them off every night b/c my fingers swell at night and it bugs me.

My mom left her wedding band on through out her pregnancies and it got stuck.  To this day-25 years later- she still can't take it off!  It doesn't bother her, her finger is now smaller around her wedding band.

  • I actually got a rash around my finger where my rings were like almost immediatly upon becoming PG, I would leave them off for a week, wear them and than have to take them off again.  I just decided to keep them off for the rest of the PG... not because they were tight though.

  • I work part time at a jewelery store and the best way to remove your rings is to use Windex.  Works every time!  We have avoided having to cut off many rings with this trick.

  • With  DD I didn't have to take off my rings.  With this one I am still currently wearing them.
