I need a creative idea!!

So my DH and I find out on 4/22 what we are having, and are so excited!  Our families all live pretty close, so we wanted to invite just our parents to a 'gathering' to reveal the sex.  We plan to have the ultrasound tech put the gender in an envelope and then not open it until everyone gets together, but I really want a fun and creative way to share the news!  Anyone have any fun/creative ideas?  Ideally, we would like to do something so that it is a surpise to us as well when we are all together.  Thanks!!

You could do what Ang did that was so cool. She took the results to a bakery and had them look and make a cake filled w/ (in her case) blue frosting and then they cut the cake later. That would be fun for all of you.

I've also heard of the cake filling idea before.  One of my friends was a little more patient... she mailed the envelope to another friend.  that person picked out and appropriate onesie and wrapped it up for the couple to open in front of their whole family (happened to be at Christmas).  I loved that idea...  I've also heard of taking two outfits to a cashier and handing THEM the envelope... charge you for one, wrap it up without you seeing which one, and then going home to open it.

Yes, we did the cake thing. We also did the onesie thing (with#1) where we took the results to the store and had a cashier sell and wrap us the right one without telling us. Both stories/pics are in my blog- link in sig.

Have fun! Whatever you do, it's SO much fun. You can't beat the anticipation! A great thing to look forward to but without waiting until delivery.
