I have a problem and I am hoping one of you ladies can help. I am presenting my thesis for my master's degree in two weeks. I will be 14 weeks at that point. This is my second child so my belly is a little larger than I would like without baby, Im about a size 6/8. I am still in normal clothes, although they are getting tight. So, on this day I need to look very nice/professional but I am stuck as to what to wear. I would normally just buy a skirt with a jacket or cardigan or a cute dress but Im afraid everything will be too tight, however I dont think I would be ready for maternity clothes. Any ideas?? Places to shop??Please Help. I have been looking online all day for outfits both maternity and non, and I have no ideas.
Re: what to wear
You have sooo many options!!! They make some really really great maternity pencil skirts if the "one size up" skirts don't fit right. I'm thinking slim fitting skirt, goddess/empire/cami type top and a cardigan would look so classy and professional, yet you'd still be able to seperate the pieces and wear them anywhere. Don't be afraid to try out some maternity clothes if you're finding that regular skirts don't fit right.
i would do a cute wrap dress. if you are still in regular sized clothes, i would buy a non-maternity wrap dress because you can wear it after the baby is born. wrap dresses never go out of style and you can pick up inexpensive ones at target or even ON.
pair it with heels and pearls!
I had to wear my suit a few weeks ago. I wore the suit pants with bella band, bought a new shirt for underneath (my normal button downs wouldn't button), and just wore the jacket open. It worked.
I need to wear a suit again in late April. I'm really worried it's not going to be that easy but I also really don't want to go out and buy a suit during pregnancy.
