2nd Trimester

LOL I BF because I'm lazy...I'll admit it...

I do not want to get up 3 times a night to make a bottle! There, just had to get that out.

  • haha, I can't say that is why I BF, but I am definitely glad that I don't have to do all the bottle washing and pay for formula! :)

  • I'll BF because it's free, it's the best milk my baby can get and because it will make me burn tons of calories... are these enough? Big Smile

  • that is what husbands are for :)  My DH did 90% of all night feedings so i could rest and heal. He's lucky DS started to STTN at 8w :)  I EP'd for DS (and we FF at night).

I plan to BF the twins if I can - b/c it will help me lose weight.... less bottles to clean... and b/c i want them to have my milk, too- but the other benefits are weighed in heavily in my decision, too!! :)

  • Well I guess to clarify that's not the ONLY reason lol...but it had a helluva lot to do with it Wink
  • Seriously, I don't know how FF moms do it!  Hell, I don't know how BF moms that get up and nurse in another room do it!  I always had plenty of sleep and was very thankful for that...OK not always...but most of the time ;)

    Ditto this!

  • Ugh, since I was pumping I was up constantly for the first several weeks of DD's life!  Formula would have been much easier, because I would have made DH do it!

  • My sister couldn't BF so she FF. Her daughter started SSTN at 3 months. So I think she totally had it easier than if she had been BF'ing. Even when she was feeding at night it was not nearly as often as if she had been BF'ing. Plus her husband could do some of the feedings.

Too bad formula doesn't always = sleep through the night.
