it was the accusatory tone that if we were to circumcise that it was the equivalent to choosing to cut off a part of your baby's body that some of us took issue with. It was the delivery, not the fact that she had her own opinion that was offensive.

I'm on the phone with my mom just randomly gossiping about this weeks random happenings and I started to laugh so I told her about this little debate to which she kindly informed me of her opinion:

"that baby comes out of your body and until its 18 you can do whatever you want to it as long as its not considered child abuse so go ahead and cut it off, last I checked it wasn't against the law."

I think sprite came out my nose. This is not a normal mom response for me.

This would be all I said on any of the circumcision posts: 

This, in reference to a post about the cost weighing in on your decision....

" Of course not.  I think if $350-500 make or breaks your decision on something as big as cutting off body parts/surgery, you're not ready for a child."

And this, in the OP about will you or won't you circumcise your boy...

" Nope, I've done a lot of research for both sides and don't think I could do it.  I'm Jewish and still won't do it."

How Red and her group got a big drama spectacular going on from those two quotes, which were the only things I said on the subject before Red's post calling me out, is  beyond me and I think shows A LOT on their parts....
