mylicon or gripe water?

are these essentially the same thing, to help w/ a gassy baby? ?any preference?

I have both, but use the gripe water first and formost. - so far that's all we needed. It's all natural so a better alternative to the mylicon.

I've been meaning to get some Gripe Water, mylicon does nothing for DD.

i would love it if mylicon worked for ds, because it isn't absorbed by the body, but it doesn't. i use gripe water instead. it helps somewhat.
