POLL: Does your DH do the grocery shopping?

I don't know if my DH is a rare breed or what but he enjoys doing the grocery shopping! I am more than happy to let him! The last time I tried to do it I ended up all sweaty and hot and thirsty and getting BH while shopping. Texting him to ask what kind of stupid sandwiches he wanted, only to be told "surprise me".  IF I WANTED TO SURPRISE YOU, I WOULDNT HAVE ASKED. ANSWER THE DAMNED QUESTION!  It wasn't pretty.

Generally he does it by himself and actually does a really good job and always brings home some surprise treats for me.

I usually do it but occasionally if it is going to be a big trip he will come along.  He never goes by himself, I even ahve to beg him sometimes to run downt he street to teh convience store to pick up just milk.

We used to go together and liked doing it that way, but when life got so hectic we started dividing up "must dos" and he gladly did the shopping!  He is OOT on site for his job Oct-May (the whole pregnancy, tell me he didn't plan that) and I think I may most miss having a personal shopper!  I hate going alone - thus the reason I am on my last roll of toilet paper, last kleenex, out of milk, bread, and every "normal" staple.  Oh well, can't wait for May.

I like going when we can go together, but he is home on Fridays b/c he  travels during the week, so must of the time he goes alone. He does really well, he even compares the ads and coupons and will go to multiple stores to get the better deals. He is a good shopper, but I know he doesnt actually like to do it.

we always go together because it has just became the routine. He is very good about shopping and is willing to look for deals so I trust him to go alone but he is only home 2 days a week so what time I get with him I take.

This almost exactly! He doesn't get the concept of a budget. YES it's better to buy the $9 bag of chicken, but if we only have $25 dedicated to groceries, don't spend half of it on chicken!!! (we don't limit ourselves to $25 any more, but when we first moved in together we did.)

We spend more when we go together, but I can't trust him to go alone, either. I do it myself.

This exactly!!! DH thinks we are feeding a family of 8 it is just the two of us hunny and we cant afford to spend $300 a week on food! He doesnt understand the concept of budgeting!

Mr and Mrs King

We usually go together and end up spending too much money but we enjoy it.  He has gone by himself in the first trimester when I was so miserable and sick.
