NBR: Telemarketer vent

Last night we got a call from a toll free number.  Normally we don't answer these calls, but I mentioned to DH that we had three calls already throughout the day.  We're on the Do Not Call list, so that's a lot for one day.  DH answered and it was some charity looking for a donation.  DH said "Sorry, but we are unable to donate."  The guy on the other end says, "So you don't want to put a smile on a child and his Dad's face?"  DH says "No, sorry."  Then the guy says, "May God have mercy on your soul."  DH just hung up after that, he's too damned nice.  If that was me I would have lost it on the guy!

    That sounds like a pretty shady charity to try to guilt people into donating!  When the guy asked if DH wanted to put a smile on someone's face, he should have said, "No, but I'd like to put my foot up your ass."
