does anyone really like their IL's?

Mine are ok..but this REALLY ticked me off.

BIL was over Saturday and DH and I got into an argument. It was dumb, it didn't last long, and when it was over it was over...nothing to sweat about. Well last night I get a call from MIL 'checking up" on DD. I didn't think anything of it until she asked how DH and I were. I found this to be kind of odd and that's when I figured out the real reason behind her phone call. BIL had called mommy and told her about the argument. WTF?? Are we the ONLY couple in the world who fights every now and then, do you REALLY have nothing going on in your life so you must talk about ours?? Are we not grown adults, leave my business to me. THANKS!

I think it's hard for parents to stay out of our business, they are probably just concerned and mean the best- but at a certain point they certainly need to butt out! Thankfully my IL's are great and always mind their own business. They would never think to stick their noses into our business.

I really DO like my MIL, but she is the town crier . ?DH and I get into arguments about what personal information he can share with his family. Nothing is kept private and it's not just talked about within the family either. It's a very touchy issue for me. ?

I'm usually the one who has to put up with the rumor mill because DH will tell them something personal about me. ?But recently, DH mentioned in passing to one of his sisters that he was feeling a little homesick. She mentioned it to his mother, who got right to work on a plan for his other sister to fly out and visit IMMEDIATELY. ? His phone also started to ring off the hook from other family members and friends. ?He was not amused, but I was because I think he finally realized I'm not exaggerating and blowing things out of proportion. ?
