How awesome would it be to have a tattoo of the dark mark?

Yes, I agree.  But you must admit- that's biitchin.

Honestly, Harry Potter reminds me of 12 year old kids.  There is nothing "biitchin" about Harry Potter.

  • Have you read them?  They are amazing.  I teach 12 year old kids and there is no way they understand half of the concepts broached in those books.

The only way to describe the last two books, in my opinion, is amazingly biitchin.

    This.
  • Obviously I am outnumbered by uncool, harry potter haters.  I used to be like you.  Then I read them and they are fabulous- I will convert you.  And I am not 12.

Yeah, not likely.  I started the first book and got bored.

    Prove it.
  • True, the first... probably 3 books are kinda lame.  I will agree with that.  However, they are stepping stones for the last books, which are much more amazing.  Come to think of it, I don't even think I read the first 2 until after I had finished the series because I too was bored.

  • I love Harry Potter! But I don't think I would ever get a tattoo of any harry potter stuff

I would never get one either, that's a little intense.  But I would very excited if I saw someone else with one.  Only the dark mark, of course.  The rest of the stuff is too... childish (ha.ha)

  • All you HP haters are nut-bags.  Best. Books. Ever.
  • Harry Patter series was fantastic.  Better than Twilight even (I read Twilight and really enjoyed it, but I was way more into HP).

However, I would never get the dark mark tattoo.  It's a little too creepy for me - Skulls and snakes aren't my thing.

  • If we're talking about Harry Potter vs Twilight...

Harry Potter rules.  Twilight sucks donkey balls.

But really, the two are too different to really compare them.

I think I know someone who would consider a dark mark tattoo really cool and his judgment worries me sometimes...he's like a really big, dorky kid.

  • Harry Potter series. Great. Last books definately more adult. I have not even read the first few yet, but starting with Prisoner of Azkaban, Excellent.

(As a side notes since it was thrown in: Twilight Series Great and not comparable).

As far as OP Dark Mark Tattoo. LAME-O and childish. I love the books but marking your body after a fictional emblem in a written children's book is pathetic at best, IMO. ::shrugs::

  • I too would love to see it, but on someone else.  I ADORE HP.  If you're having a hard time reading the first few books, try the audiobooks narrated by Jim Dale.  They're marvelous and they totally hooked my husband (who hates to read any kind of fiction).  He's almost as big an HP junkie as I am, although he's not cool enough to have a Goblet of Fire ringtone!
