Taking LO to an aquarium?

Anyone do this yet?  My DS LOVES fish.  Tomorrow is his b-day and since its too cold to do anything out doors and we are only 1.5 hours from Chicago I was thinking of Shedd Aquarium, just wasn't sure if he was too young.

    I would take him! If he likes fish, I am sure he will love it!

    DH's grandmother babysits for us and they have a fish tank. DS loves to watch the fish. He is soooo cute when he is sitting at the fish tank watching them....it's like he is amazed by them!

    I took DD to an aquarium over Christmas break. She loved to look at the fish and loved the sealion show. You should do it! I am taking DD to the zoo for her birthday in a few weeks, it is warm here in SC.

    You should definitely do it! We took our 2 little ones last week and DS LOVED the Dolphin Show and really seemed to enjoy looking at all of the fish and stuff.

    I'm jealous.  I really wanted to take DS to the zoo, but none of them around here are open yet (we are in MI).  I did find one, about 2 hours away that is open but its supposed to be cool and rain tomorrow.

    We just traveled to Baltimore last weekend and visited the aquarium. We put DS on a backpack carrier on DH's back and he really enjoyed the fish (when he wasn't napping, that is!) I say go for it!

    My DD loves the aquarium, we go all the time!  There is a small one not too far from me as well as a little bit of a bigger one!  My DD loves to just look at all of the fish!  Have fun, and Happy Birthday to your LO!

    I think that sounds like a great idea! We have a fish tank and DD loves watching them. I'd love to take her to an aquarium but there isn't anything close to us.
