I flipped a garbage can upside down so I can put my feet up. I get up to pee about every 30 minutes, so I walk around a bit. My biggest problem is the heat. I want to buy a little clip fan for my desk b/c I can't take it anymore. ?
sorry, I must have hit a button before I was able to finish typing. anyway, having been thinking and feeling the same way the last two weeks. I can get up and take little breaks. Today my supervisor gave me a pillow to put on my back. I dread going to work knowing that I

I do the same; getting up often, trying to involve myself in work so i'm distracted from baby stuff. On my lunch break I take a short walk which helps me get some energy. i hear you about the discomfort. I am always exhausted b/c i get like 4-5 hours of sleep a night since about week 31. Today i even bought an ice pack for the sciatica.
I take little walks here and there to help keep the circulation moving. If i sit for too long, my hips and lower back start hurting.
I also stand up and stretch (bend over, twist from side to side, etc). I also try to do some stretches every night at home to help re-align everything.
I get up often to walk around for a few minutes...which I am forced to do anyway with going to the bathroom so often! I spend a lot of the day sitting up straight on the edge of my chair instead of with my back resting, because if I sit too far back, the baby gets all kinked up in this one spot that hurts. Today I was in a meeting in the conference room and having trouble breathing (something about the way the chair positioned me, I think), but I didn't want to be rude and get up to stretch, because it was a guest speaker. It sucked!
Thanks ladies....I feel a little better knowing Im not alone. I was feeling like a whimp, telling myself to suck it up lol. I hear you on the 4-5 hours sleep and sitting on the edge of the chair. Its the only comfortable position. GL to all of you....TGIF (tomorrow) !!!
I have a box under my desk with a pillow on it to prop my feet up. I have shortened my work days to 7 hours instead of 8+. I also get up and walk often. This helps prevent me from falling asleep.
Luckily, I only have 10 days (bus days) of work left.
Re: Ladies who are still working a desk job
I get up a lot and walk around. I also prop my feet up on a box of paper. A little ghetto, but no one can see it, haha.
I only have 21 more days of actually being at work. I'm on countdown...
