3rd Trimester

What were you like in High School?

(This was inspired by/slightly stolen from 2nd tri)

What crowd or clique did you fit in with? Or how would you describe yourself and are you very different now or similar?

My school had over 3500 people, so there wasn't really a "popular crowd". However I was in the colorguard (flags, rifles, sabres, dance/part of marching band) as were my close circle of friends. If I really had to put a label on me I'd say nerdy social butterfly. And I'd say I'm very similar to my high school self- even married my high school sweetheart and still have the same circle of friends.

Re: What were you like in High School?

  • I went to a very big high school, as well. I was extremely outgoing and talkitive, so I would to talk to anyone about anything. I was friendly with most of the people in my grade. However, my friends tended to be in the arts and music departments, since my extracurricular activities were in there. I did the all-school musical and that was tons of fun.

I only still friends with a few people from high school, cause I feel I really blossomed in college. I became more sure of myself and found out who I am. I am much more self confident and relaxed than I was then.

I was also a goody two shoes who always followed the rules...and I am still...pretty much, lol.

  • I was high. Like, a lot. I was well liked, and still am, so that part hasn;t changed. But pretty much everything else about me has.
  • I was in theatre but really didn't have a whole lot of theatre friends.  There were 4 of us that were REALL close and honestly, I don't know how we found each other b/c we were sooooo different, I was in theatre and Sr Class Pres, one was very tom-boy sporty, one was very cute sporty and the other was very bookish.  Crazy
  • Our HS was also big. I played softball, so I hung out with the team. I was also not very nice, kind of a biitchy jock. I was also in Health Occupations Education and spent a lot of time in the hospitals, I thought I would be a doctor someday ha!
  • I went to a really small hs, my graduating class had about 150 students.

I was a good student, well I got good grades, but I ditched class a lot. I played waterpolo, did swim team, did about everything possible in FFA, high school rodeo, and took ballet, tap, hip hop, and pointe classes in the evening. I hung out with the cowboy/cowgirl crowd

THAT being said I partied A LOT on the weekends.

I still show horses (cutting), and help out with my sisters and their livestock projects for FFA and 4-H. I am still best friends with my best friend from high school but that's about it. I never drink anymore...well obviously...and have become the biggest lightweight ever. I would rather stay home and watch movies than go out where in hs you cuoldn't keep me in the house for more than 20min unless I was sleeping.

  • I married my high school sweetheart also! We started "dating" when we were 14, this September we'll have been together for 10 years!

  • I went to a VERY small HS.  I gradutated with 36 ppl.  There were about 200 in the whole HS.

As for what I was like... I was the shiitte in HS.  :)  And then I left Small Town USA and reality hit me hard.

I would not do HS over again, though.

  • I was a cheerleader, smart, never got into any trouble! I never drank til college! I was super naive too!!!

I was nice to almost everyone...although I could whip out attitude when people were stupid. I couldn't stand when the "cool" jock kids picked on other kids...I was always lecturing!

We should've been friends. I swam and played softball though. ?

  • I never took high school  serious. I was friends with everyone, but sat with all guys at lunch. I think I did it b/c the girls really never ate much, and I liked to eat. I worked all through high school so work was always what I focused on. I also was a party animal, I drank a lot I'm not proud of that. If I had to do it all again I would have stayed more focused and got better grades. Oh well live and learn.....
  • This should make yall laugh :)

Huge highschool like 600 kids in my class.

9-10th grade party animal MAJORLY like even went to college frat parties.. 11th grade started dating Caleb who'd already graduated & just focused on school & spending time with him &+ family. 12th grade... Preggo :). But I graduated early in December lol. I've now started college classes & work full time.

  • I played soccer and softball and hung out with a pretty tight circle of friends.  I was very materialistic and snobby.  Good thing I changed completely in college!

  • I was friends with everyone. I  was a token in my group of friends though. I did well in school and was always striving to be the best (perfectionist and to be honest annorexic at that time)

Now... not so much. I am still the token but I am not a perfectionist anymore!

  • I was friends with the outcasts.  We were the ones that just didn't fit with anyone else, so we just hung out together.  You know, the uncool fat nerds (me), the indy musicians, the gay kids, the free-spirits/hippies.  It was a pretty eclectic group.  Personally, I was very awkward and socially inept.  I'd like to think that I've grown up a lot in the last 11 years.  While I'm glad to have had the experiences I did, I'm also very glad they are in the past and I wouldn't go back to HS for all the money in the world.  In college OTOH, I found my niche.....
