Baby shower... When?

My family shower is 4 weeks before my EDD, and my work shower is... who knows; (The sweet person doing this for me at work has a major procrastination problem) (Sp?)  Just wondering when your girls had/will have it.

If I could get through this pregnancy without a single shower, I would.  I hate being the showeree.  But I have friends and family who are resisting my pleas to allow me to remain showerless.  That being said, the first one is in two weeks, I think.

We are having one at 32 weeks and the other will be sometime after the baby is born.

I had one just before 26 weeks (while visiting family and friends in Seattle) and my aunt is throwing me a shower after the baby gets here when my mom is in town (so sometime in the middle of June).

Most people I know have their shower at 35/36 weeks. You don't want one at the last minute in case you might deliver early. Plus, give yourself time to wash everything and organize and if you have to make returns.

No idea. I was told that I'm being thrown one but no one has asked for anything from me yet. I have 2 girls who are due the week before me and theirs is this weekend.

To answer the question: Mine is this Saturday so I'm 27 weeks roughly.  Mine is a little earlier than most though becuase my other sister is 6 weeks ahead of me in her pg and really wanted to be able to be there...(She is traveling from TX to SC for it)

I had mine (first pregnancy) 33 weeks. ?My mom is throwing one for my sister next saturday, she will be 36 weeks!

OMG, I am SO with you on this one!  I told everyone, "I don't want a shower" then my mom called me and gave me a guilt trip saying...  "you really hurt everyones feelings"  So, I said "fine, but lets call it a family get together or something."

27, 29 and 30 weeks. This weekend is my last shower Then I am in return he11!!!!!

Im so glad they are early vs late bc I can get everything back and purchase everything I didnt get with lots of time and plenty of time to relax before the baby gets here. I wanted it all DONE....

Mine will be at 33 weeks.  Later then we wanted but it is what worked out best for the hostess and myself.  We wanted it earlier since my first came at 35 weeks and the doctor thinks I will go early this time as well.
