My DD just turned 6 months old yesterday. This morning she felt a little warm and she had a 101 temp. Now it's 102.6 and I'm a little concerned. She seems a little lethargic but doesn't seem to be in pain so I don't think it's an ear infection. She is a little congested. I generally like to let fevers do their job so I don't give tylenol unless it gets high or they seem to be uncomfortable. Would you just give tylenol at home or take her to the pedi?

Re: 6 month old- 102.6- WDYT?
I would give her Tylenol and if it doesn't drop to below 101, then I would call the Pedi. But, since it's getting late in the day (and I don't know how late your Pedi office is open) I would call the pedi anyway.
I hope she feels better soon!?
This happened to Colin at the same time. Congestion, 101 fever. I called the pedi and made an appt for the next morning. the fever was 102 the next day. When we went, nothing, no ear infection. she wanted us to come back 2 days later and sure enough ear infection (his fever was up to 104 also).
i would call the pedi and maybe set up an appt for tomorrow.
