Topher is a family name and it was on my boy name list. Now that I know we are having a little girl im having a hard time finding something I like. Is this too out there for a girl?

I have only heard that name from Topher Grace (Eric from That 70's Show) so I associate it with a boy. Maybe you could go with Tori or something similar.

I have to agree with everyone else, it's definitely a boy's name.  However, people give their baby girls boy names all the time, so if you don't mind her having one, then go for it.  I wouldn't use a boy name, but we're all different and have different tastes.

Yes, way to out there for a girl.  I'm not even a fan of it for a boy.  My brother's name is Christopher and he hated getting Topher, but he let me call him Tophey.

Sorry, not a fan. To me, it's short for Christopher, so it doesn't work for a girl, imo.

It was worth a try! We are getting NO where with girl names. I've crossed every one of them off my original list and nothing seems right to me.

I really dislike this name for a boy or girl.  I'm not sure why, but it really sparks a negative reaction in me.  So much so that it bothers me that a character on Doll House, who I otherwise like, has this name..
