Relative age effect?? Fewer summer babies become CEOs?

Interesting little article.   I do know that it reinforces my being happy that DD missed the school cut-off, but I'm wondering how "true" it really is...

  • i'm loling at you for reading macleans.  (but secretly proud?)
  • Loading the player...
  • Hmm.. I guess Eris will be a CEO, just not a particularly awesome one. Works for me. ^_^
  • Must be true -- I'm a summer baby and I'm not a CEO.  But if I were, I'd be an awesome one!

I can see the point about the age effect.  I was held back in kindergarten because of my summer birthday.  Originally I was a lot younger than the rest of the class....I really think I would have struggled in school if I hadn't been held back a year

  • I know.  But I don't usually read it.  I heard the article read when I tuned into the radio station that does reading for the blind.  I've heard all kinds of stuff on that channel.  They allow the readers to pick what they are going to read, and have no programming guidlines.  Fun times!
