Rotavirus Vaccine

Hiya ladies.  I wanted to see if you gave your LO this vaccine.  If yes, were there any side effects and if no, why not?

    DD had it, she had no side effects.  She hasn't had any side effects on her shots yet.  Did your lo have it yet or are you looking into it.  The pedi gave me a info sheet for it's side effects but I don't have it anymore.

    DD did get the rotavirus vaccine. She didn't have any side affects either time she has gotten it. I think it was twice that she got it.

    They did not have it available when Caleb was a baby and right after he turned 2, so about a year ago, he got it. I have to say, it truly was the worst week ever! He was so sick he had to be hospialized and they ran so many tests on him. They even had to put a catheder in my poor 2 yr old.

    Having gone through something like, vaccinating Colten against it was a very easy decision. Also, he had no side effects from it.

    Ok, I just re-read my post and it was kind of confusing. They did not have the vaccine available when Caleb was a baby and he ended up getting rotavirus. Just wanted to make that clear.

    it's an optional shot at her next appt and i wanted to get a feel for how many people opted for it or not...Thanks again
