What do you think about the name Jordan for a girl? Is it too boy-ish?

I only have started thinking of this name today so haven't thought of any middle names, any good suggestions?

I work with a girl named Jordan, and she's so sweet. I think this name is 100% unisex. It's one of the few that I think works equally well for boys and girls.

A lot of ladies on here tend not to like unisex names, but since I'm the oddball, I'll say this: If you love it, use it!

Hmm middle names... Do you want something uber feminine since Jordan can be masculine? Any letters you like? Any family names you want to incorporate?

Jordan Elizabeth came to mind first.

Ooh, I like that, thanks! My first choice for a name was Morgan Elisabeth, but Morgan makes my DH think of a little girl with red hair and freckles in overalls, so unfortunately that's out. But Jordan sounds sorta similar to Morgan, so I think Jordan Elisabeth works really well!

Ha ha, my name is Morgan Elizabeth and I definately don't have red hair or freckles! I do like Jordan a lot though. I think that is a great name fore a girl.

I love it! But I love boy names for girls. I think it's adorable and original for the most part.

What about Lynn for the middle name?

I have known both... My little cousins is Jordyn.  Although I'm not a huge fan of putting in random Y's, I think that this makes it a little more girlish

I know three female Jordans and zero male ones!  I think its entirely unisex.

I know a lot of boy Jordans. But I like it for a girl too.

Jordyn is awful though. Seriously.

I like Jordan for a boy but LOVE it for a girl.  I agree that Jordyn looks a little more feminine.

I love it. It is almost the only unisex name I like. I have a friend in a PhD program named Jordan, and she loves her name. It is a good, strong name and it has a certain spunkyness to it as well.

She says that the best thing about it is that potential employers or teachers have no idea if she is male or female by looking at her name. She says it actually opens doors (in her male dominated career, anyway).

The other female Jordan I know is a professional model, so I think of a very pretty female when I hear the name also.

I know a 9yr old girl named Jordan...definitely a unisex name.
