hi..i am concerned about my daughters weight gain b/c dr said she should gain 2-6 ounces a week. she is not doing thay at this point. if you are confused about my post see my earlier post.
My DS has never grown at the rate some pedi's say he should but he's still completely healthy. He hasn't shown any other signs of illness, crawled at an early age and our pedi told us some kids are just small. I wouldn't worry unless she's showing other signs of being unhealthy but that's just me.

I'm really really trying to be nice here, because I understand what it's like to worry about this. But seriously... Relax hon. Relax!! She gained an ounce a week for 2 weeks. That's one ounce short of what she's "supposed" to gain. It's an ounce. It's not 4 or 5 pounds. She's still on the growth chart and fairly near the 25% percentile from what i can tell. It's also normal to have a baby's gain slow down at around your daughter's age, which several people pointed out.
I really think she's ok. This is coming from a mom who has dealt with failure to thrive. I know it's scary, but she's not even losing weight right now. She is ok. However, if you are really this concerned, please sign off of the bump and call your doctor. They can help you out more than we can. They know your baby, and her history.

ITA. And also, um, you know those websites like www.kellymom.com that everyone keeps recommending every time you post this question or a similar one? Please actually go to those and read them. Posting the same question or questions pretty much everyday on two different boards every. single. day. is most likely not going to get you a different answer.
You're worried your DD isn't getting enough calories from bfing. Call your local La Leche League, read up on kellymom, read a bfing book as recommended by LLL or kellymom, follow your pedi's advice, and go back through the answers to all your posts from the last week. Do those things. Because it's unlikely that the 475th time you ask a question is going to get you a different result that the previous 474 times.
First of all, I didn't realize that you keep posting this over and over. Please read everyone else's responses, especially the Larksters.
That said, my DD was 6lbs 14oz at birth. At her nine month appt she was 18lbs 4oz (she is formula fed). Your little one doesn't sound too far from where my DD was. Remember every baby is different.
If I were you, I would just relax and enjoy my daugther. It sounds like you are worrying and nervous for no reason. I'd hate for you to be missing out on this special time with your daughter because you are so worried about her gaining enough weight.
By the way that is the average growth of breastfed babies. This means some will gain more and some will gain less. You need to consider the whole picture...is she meeting milestones?
Relax, if you are really this concerned then you need to talk to your pedi, call your local la lech league and/or talk to a LC.
