Colgate Classica I vs Classica II

Ok, so let me see if I got this straight...the Classica III has a harder side for baby and a softer side for when the baby's older right?

I have no idea when baby would make this switch but would we be saving money if we bought the Classica III since we can just flip the mattress over? Or is it kind of a waste and we'll have to buy another mattress at some point anyway?

Re: Colgate Classica I vs Classica II

  • Oops, typo in the subject line...it's suppose to say Classica III not Classica II
  • A LOT of the women on the baby bargains message boards say that the Classica I was so hard that their baby wouldn't sleep on it so they got the Classica II instead because it's softer.

  • I got the Classica III because it has a softer & firmer side.  We'll see which one is better for baby when she gets here.

  • When we got DD's we purchased the Classica I. The salesman at our local baby store recommened it over the one with the soft sides.  It is best for babies to sleep on a harder surface anyhow, so that it what we went with.  We have never had any problems w/ DD sleeping on it.  We have been quite pleased, and we will buy the same for the twins.
