My dr told me about this juice/vegetable supplement called Juice Plus and recommended that I start taking it. Anyone else heard of this or are currently talking it? It has a full day's requirement of fruits and veggies and is supposed to be really good for me and baby. Its very pricey 50$ a month and am considering to start taking them. Just wanted to hear from you ladies!
Re: anyone heard of or use Juice Plus?
I am taking Juice Plus. My mother got me on it. She has severe rheumatoid arthritis and migraines, and since being on it for the past 5 years, both conditions have improved dramatically. Actually, she get's fewer migraines and is able to handle them better. A friend of mine took it and her blood pressure issues improved while on it. I am not saying it will improve any "conditions", but if it helps to improve the nutrition your body is getting, it can't hurt.
I am taking Juice Plus, and my doctor said to go for it. It is expensive, but if it helps to ensure I get my fruits and veggies in, I am willing to pay it.
There is no information stating that it is NOT good to take while pregnant.
In fact I have information to the contrary. There are currently formal studies being conducted, but a doctor did an informal study with his pregnant patients over a two year period and (356 patients, 178 who took JP and 178that didn't) he found that the ones who did take JP during pregnancy had lower caesarean deliveries and no premature deliveries and no diagnosed cases of preeclampsia. It was a limited study, but he had good results with his patients in a rural Mississippi community.
