Moms of 2-year-olds: Sleep POLL!
1) How many hours does your 2 y.o. sleep at night?
2) Does s/he nap? If so, for how long?
3) How often does s/he wake up during the night, or does s/he usually STTN?
My answers:
1) Around 12 hours
2) Not lately! She's taken one actual nap in the last week and plays/strips in there the rest of the time.
3) She used to STTN 99.9% of the time, but now she wakes up several times a week and just wants us to come in and snuggle with her for a while. She's very sweet and cozy, but it takes me 2 hours to get back to sleep afterward, so I really wish she'd go back to STTN before this baby comes!

1. She sleeps around 12 hours at night.
2. Naps every day unless some strange event or plan for the day prevents it. Typically sleeps about 2 hours, or is in her crib for about 2 hours with some combination of sleeping and quietly playing.
3. Usually STTN. Occasionally wakes up and talks sometimes, but goes back to bed. Once a month I'll have to go in there and change her diaper or fix something that woke her up or is bothering her.
He sleeps 11 hours at night
He naps everyday. Some days it's 2 hours, others it's 3 hours.
He doesn't wake at night (unless he has a bad dream or is sick). I don't take him into bed with me though, and he is never "fully" awake. I just comfort him (sometimes rock him) and put him right back down.

3. Always STTN, I'm lucky.
1) DS usually sleeps around 12 hours a night, sometimes more, sometimes less. But average 12.
2) He naps daily. Lately, he's been taking 2-2 1/2 hr naps.
3) He STTN probably 95% of the time. Occasionally, he wakes up and comes in our bed around 5am, but most of the time will STTN.

2. 1-2 hour nap most days
3. STTN most nights. Wakes up maybe once or twice a week, always with a random request like a certain blanket from her armoire or for us to say her prayers again...then she goes right back to sleep.
1) DD sleeps 11-12 hours at night
2) naps 1-2hours during the sometimes more, sometimes not at all
3) She STTN every night, unless she is sick

DD is 2.5 yrs old.
1) She sleeps about 10-11 hours. We try to be consistent about puttin gher down at 8pm but she can take up to 1 hour to fall asleep. She almost always wakes at 7am.
2) She naps most days. 5/7 I would say. She sleeps from 1.5 hours -2 hours.
3) 99% of the time she STTN. Only time she doesn't is when she is not feeling well, like now and is coughing most of the night.

3. She usually wakes once and climbs in bed with us OR cries for me to go to bed with her.

I will answer for both kids... (3 in June and 2 in Aug)
1. They both sleep about 12 hours
2. DD- sometimes naps, sometimes doesn't. She lays down each day for 2 hours in her room. If she sleeps it is no more than an hour.
DS- Yes, everyday..about 2 hours. He is a great sleeper.
3. The both STTN, since the last year. It's very nice...usually 7-7.
1. Typically sleeps 10-11 hours at night
2. He won't nap at home, but will often nod off in the stroller or car if we take him somewhere on the weekends. He naps at daycare 99% of the time still.
3. He STTN 98% of the time. Occasional wakings due to teething or other issues. He tends to go back to sleep pretty easily after he wakes up.

2. She naps every day for atleast 1.5 hrs
3. Do I even dare say this? She STTN every night unless she is sick.

3) How often does s/he wake up during the night, or does s/he usually STTN? Hardly ever unless she is sick. She has been sttn since 6 weeks!

2) We have the occasional no-nap day, but most days she does. 1-2 hours
3) Most nights at least once, sometimes she can be rocked back to sleep in a few minutes, others she's up for hours.
1. He was sleeping about 9 hours until a week before the time change. Lately he's been sleeping 10 or 11 hours.
2. Yes, he naps for 2 hours at daycare. Most times he'll nap for 3 at home on the weekends.
3. He usually STTN, however, every once in awhile he'll wake up, cry for a moment, then go back to sleep. There are nights that he's more persistent and won't stop till you go and get him like the other night when he woke several times and didn't finally go back to sleep until 2am.
Liam is 5!
Usually 10 hours at night-- 8pm until 6am. If we get lucky, he will sleep until 7.
Nap is 1-1.5 hours-- 11am until 12:30/1pm. Today was 45 minutes.
He's always been a sucky sleeper. He still wakes 2-3 times most nights.

DS is almost 2.5

2) usually naps 1 hr-1.5 hours...pretty reliably
3) he has nights where he sleeps through, and about 2-3 nights a week that he wakes for some reason or another (usually b/c he kicks his covers off or something)

2) She naps if we're in the car in the middle of the day. When we're at home, she has an hour long "quiet time." She rarely naps at home.

1- during the week 10-11 hours ( i have to wake him up to go to the sitters) on the weekends around 12
2- for the sitter he usually only naps about 1-2 hours usually only an hour though. On the weekends he'll nap for me 2-3 hours.
3- he sleeps through the night, ever now and again he'll russle around, but then falls right back to sleep.

3.) Depends on what you consider STTN. About 75% of the time he goes down by 8p and wakes up between 5-530a calling for me. I go to his room and lay down with him (he has a full sized bed) and we sleep until about 730 or so.
The other 25% of the time, he's up at 1a, 2a etc until I go lay down with him. But we coslept until this past Dec, so I am actually pretty pleased with how things have gone. Just have my fingers crossed that we get closer to 100% until 530a before this baby comes

1. DS sleeps approx 11.5 hours every night.
2. He naps for 2 hours during the day (one big nap)
3. He rarely wakes at night- if he does- he usually goes right back down - DH just pats his back for 30 seconds and he's back out.
1) About 12 hours
2) Naps almost every day. 1.5 hrs to 2 hrs.
3) She used to STTN all of the time, but since she has become potty trained she wakes up to go to the bathroom. It's usually about once a night, and by night I mean about 6:30AM. Not too bad.

He sleeps through the night unless his is sicks or has a bad dream. Or if the pillow (that he doesn't sleep with his head on, just propped up at the head of the bed) falls off the bed. The pillow falling off the bed is VERY traumatic!
