Stroller help -- mom's of toddler & baby!!!!

So, we were sure we wouldn't need a new stroller when #2 arrived b/c DD1 is 3 now and we thought she would be more interested in walking when we are out and we could put DD2 in the Maclaren -- we were WRONG.

When we go to the mall or for a walk to the park DD1 BEGS us to take her stroller so she can "rest." I have a carrier for DD2 that we use for short trips, but my back can't take that for multiple hours and with the spring and summer coming we will be outside a lot.

We're in the market for a double stroller now and I found 2 I like on Albeebaby.com that aren't crazy expensive, they are the Mia Moda Compagno Stroller (https://www.albeebaby.com/mia-moda-compagno-stroller-mint-java.html)  and Safty First Two Way Tandom (https://www.albeebaby.com/sa1sttwowayt1.html).

I'm torn between the tandom and the sit-and-stand. If you have either can you give me the pos and neg? Or, if you have a better suggestion let me have it!

 Thanks!

  • My mom has a tandum-the graco duo glider for the grandkids. It is so big and bulky. It didnt fit in the trunk of my car unless that was all that was in there.

It seems that the sit and stands take up less room. Im just assuming by the ones that I have seen.

  • My Joovy Caboose Ultralight has been perfect from day 1!

  • We got the Graco Quattro Tour Duo from Albeebaby for pretty cheap ($159) and I'm very happy with it.  Granted we've only tried it with just DD in it in the drive way but I've folded it up, put it in my car (while 30w PG) and pushed it around a bunch.  For the price I really like it.  Its a tandem and the infant carrier snaps into the front or the back.  DD loves riding in it too.  I didn't opt for the sit and stand b/c like you said, DD still likes to "rest" in the stroller and I wanted her to be able to actually have a seat and sit back and relax.
  • I have the Baby Jogger City Mini Double and LOVE it. So easy to push, turns easily, can steer with one hand, super easy fold, very light. I just ordered the Joovy Caboose Ultralight, but haven't  yet received it. I wanted it for trips to the zoo (we have a membership) and other outings where my 2.5 year old may want to walk some and ride some.
