6 Week post appt today, got Mirena

I have lost 31 pounds!!  So excited.  I wasn't in great shape pre-preg and now I'm motivated to keep going and hopefully lose more than when I got pregnant.  I decided to try Mirena and so far it's ok.  Cramping right away but the nurse gave me tylenol and that was gone quickly.  Bleeding seems to have already stopped too.  It's not very comfortable yet though, I can feel it.  Is it supposed to be that way?  Just need time?  I have heard so many that both do and don't like it so I hope it works out.

WAY TO GO INGRID! We are STILL following suit! My 6 week apt...swear...I lost 31 lbs too. I haven't got my Mirena yet...but I go in on Thursday for it :-) COngrats to be doing so well! My Dr gave me a script for cytotec to take the night before to help dialate the cervix a bit (not like 10cm or anything) and she told me to take one of the scription strength motrins that they gave me when I left the hospital the morning of.

You're so lucky!   I didnt get anything and was never told to take any pain meds.   It wasnt a fun 30 seconds!   Congrat Ingrid....I think you'll like it...it just takes a little time to "settle".
