I wish I could..it's my DHs brother and he is so socially inept that we could not kick him out right now...he's like 28 and never lived out of his parents house until he moved in with us last year....pray for me!..lol

    ?

Wow! I didn't know they had cute stuff like THAT! Awesome!

    ?

Oh and ditto the pp about the pack n play. If you're planning to breastfeed, you'll probably want the baby in a pack n play in your room for a while no matter how big your apartment is!?

  • The baby just might make the brother want to move out all on his own.  He won't be sleeping at night either!!!!!
  • We live in a 1 bedroom apartment and plan on putting the baby in a pack n play in our room or in the living room or dining room for awhile.

  • Moses basket?....

DH and I live in a two bedroom house. We were planning on starting on our addition this summer but with a baby due in July we have postponed it.

Since we are expecting many family members to visit us after the baby is born, we are going to keep the baby in our room in a small cradle for the first month.  Then we are going to move him to the dining room which is across from our bedroom. Once everyone is done visiting we will move him into the guest room.

Maybe the baby crying at night will be an incentive for your roommate to move.

  • As a mother of two & expecting the third, take my word, you will want that baby as close to you as possible. My first was in our room for six months, the 2nd for 3 months and I plan on a similar plan with the third. It is so nice to have them close so you can hear them & not have to wonder to far when they cry. It is also nice when they/you can have your own space, but at first you cannot take your eyes and hands off them. Everything will work out, it always does...rest easy.
  • Ok, this may sound weird but think about it:  my mom used to clear out a bottom drawer in a dresser, and line it with blankets and put us in there (open of course, never closed). Up until bout 4mo kiddo won't move around much so it's really a lot like one of those moses basket things!

And I feel ya: I'm in a 1br with DH and keep thinking, "where on earth am I going to fit a crib, stroller, and changing dresser????"
