How many betas did you have?

Hi Ladies,

I went in for my 3rd beta today and my number went from 36.5(12 dpo) to 109 (14 dpo)!  The nurse from my RE's office called and gave me the number and said it's great and that I need to come in on Wed at 7:15am for another beta.  Ummm...don't get me wrong, I love the attention I'm getting and knowing that the baby is doing well, but how many betas do I have to have?  My right arm is getting sore, they keep drawing blood from the same spot!  LOL, so how many betas did you have?

I know they can see on the u/s any number past 1200. Maybe that's what they are waiting for. I had 2 done.

My doctor's office would have done them up until I could see something on an ultrasound. I opted not to have them done.

  That makes sense.  The did tell me once I get to a certain point, I will have weekly u/s.  My RE won't realease me to my obgyn until I'm 11 weeks.  I'm not going to know what to with myself without having all of the extra attention

I had 3! I had the first one to confirm, then one 2 days later, then one 5 days after that!  Then my RE went to ultrasounds!

I had my fourth round done today. That will be the last one I get because I am now at 4540 and I will be getting an ultrasound on Wednesday. My OB said they needed my numbers over 4,000 before they would do an ultrasound. I know what you mean about your arm hurting. I have now been poked a total of 6 times...yuck. GL!

 6 times   That's awful.. I'm complaining about 3 lol.   I'm glad you had such high numbers today.  I am going to ask the RE nurse on Wednesday how many more betas will I have.

I had my betas tested 6 times, but that was really at my request. I was such a wreck, so my ob did betas up until an u/s at 6w.

None! ?My dr doesn't offer it, or at least, I haven't asked. I might do it later on (like week 10) because that's about when I lost my first.
