Update on Jax

Well, he doesn't have strep.  He does have a sore throat and splotchy rash.  no meds.  seems to be over the fever part.  so now we wait.  she said keep using the motrin. 

my poor babe.

 

oh... and he is losing weight.  a week and a half ago he weighed 17lb 10 oz,  now he weighs 16 lb 14 oz

Sounds EXACTLY like when Polly had Roseola.  She, too, had a sore throat and a rash.  If its the same thing then you are already on the downhill side and it gets better every day.  Poor Jax.

Geneva was sick last week and lost 13 oz. She was coughing and it triggered her gag reflex - multiple times. The barfing resulted in a loss of appetite AND a sore throat. It seriously freaked me out to see the weight loss, but she's been making up for it over the last two days by eating me out of house and home!

The doc recommended a dose of Tylenol an hour before eating to help with the sore throat. It seemed to help Lil' G and she would eat something other than breast milk.

Something must be going around:-( And I thought we were done with the sicknesses.

 I had to pick up DS from daycare this afternoon b/c of a fever and the NP said that he had a sore throat too.

Poor Jax! I hope he is on the mend soon!

It is so scary when they drop weight like that, but typically they put it right back on once the appetite comes back.
