Bedroom furniture

So we are making the plunge and moving forward to getting bedroom furniture for our room. We visited Ethan Allen, Haverty's, Thomasville and Bassett this weekend and found a set we really like at Bassett... a lot. And next weekend it is on sale for three days only.

We want something really durable and strong but lots of storage. And there is nothing wrong with Rooms to Go but we want something a little more high end. With saying that ....is there another place we should look before biting the bullet and moving forward with this purchase?

Re: Bedroom furniture

  • I dont have any other suggestions- but we got ours at thomasville- and I absolutely love it. Such good quality. It pays to get good furniture that will last a long time.

  • We got our bedroom furniture from Cornerstone Furniture. It's here in town on Huff Rd. Jeffery the owner sells all name brand furniture that you can find other places but he sales it at a little above wholesale. We saved a bunch with him and love our furniture. It's solid wood and nicely built. We have several friends that have brougth from him and are also happy. We actually went to him after an interior designer recommended going to see him. Now his store is like a warehouse nothing fancy but he helped us pick a great bedroom set.

  • I shopped all the same stores as you for my LR furniture. ?I ended up getting a set I love at Macy's. ?I am eyeing a bedroom set there, but DH says not now. ? Which is fine.?

Good luck, its so hard buying furniture. ?I have such commitment issues when it comes to furniture. ? ??

  • We usually buy in NC, but here in town I also recommend Cornerstone.  Great prices and he'll find you whatever you need.  He's a bit of a talker, but really nice guy.
  • We JUST bought bedroom furniture for ourselves the week after Riley was born! (we had been shopping for it though for months and just finally made up our minds)  anyway two places I highly recommend are Brownlee's furniture, its up in lawrencville so its a hike but they have tons of stuff so its good to see.  and the other place is cornerstone, which is where we ended up purchasing from and like pp's we saved tons of money by going through him, he's a NC furniture guy with a place down here.  his storeroom is like a large warehouse so its not like a pretty showroom but he has plenty of stuff to see.  happy shopping!
