DS is eating 2 solids a day, but this hasn't cut back on his nursings at all. He eats approx 40 ounces of BM a day, oatmeal with 2 ounces of milk in the morning and 3 ounces of a fruit or veggie in the afternoon. He is already crawling, which the pedi said was probably the reason he is only in the 30% for weight. I heard that babies usually take less BM when they start solids and that can lead to a decrease in supply, but I haven't see that yet. Just wondering what the average is for that to happen.
Re: When did DC drop a day feeding?
DD is 6.5mo, but hasn't started solids yet. I was looking forward to the weekend because my pump output had really dwindled through the week last week. Well that stinker was miss Busy Body this weekend and I could barely get her to nurse, let alone nurse well for a good long time to get my supply up! She'd nurse for a couple minutes then pop off to see whatever was going on around her, even though it was usually nothing. Today she's been making up for it a bit.
It could be that he's just in a routine and doesn't know he doesn't have to eat?
