Supplementing with Formula Question

My son is almost 7 months old and I am only producing anywhere from 3-5 ounces at a pumping. The doctor has suggested to supplement with formula. What formula would you suggest seems to be the closest to breasfeeding? Anyone else have to do this and how many ounces is your little one drinking at a feeding at this age?
