Hi Brandi! Ryan made it home Thursday night and has just been hanging around the house for the weekend. The ER doctor gave him Vicodin and Flomax. He hasn't had any Vicodin in about 24 hours which is good because he hasn't been in any pain. Bad news is that it appears he hasn't passed the stone yet. He's suppose to leave out on Wednesday for another trip so I'm hoping he doesn't have any problems again. He's suppose to make an appointment to see his pcp so I guess we'll see what he has to say.
My cousin, who has kidney stones, recommended eating lots of pineapple (apparently studies show that pineapple can help with kidney stones). Dh has been doing same since he got home so maybe that has helped him out.
Ugh...is it small enough to pass???? My mom has kidney stones too and they usually do that in water ultrasound thing on her. I hope he's feeling better soon; I've heard thats just awful!!
The doctor told Ryan that it's 3mm, too small to blast and that he'd have to pass it on his own. He said it should pass in three days, but we are now on day four and he's feeling a lot better so I'm not quite sure what's up. I would like for him to see a urologist, but Ryan is as stubborn as a mule and as long as he's feeling fine, he won't go. The doctor gave him seven days worth of Flomax which is suppose to help him pass the stone and he's been taking it like he's suppose to so maybe he has somehow passed it?? I guess time will tell.

Thank you for asking about him.
