It's early but we're doing our registry and I am confused by all these bottles and storage systems. I want a bottle/nipple that is best for bf/bottle switching and had read the playtex drop-ins work great and also first years breastflow. I will need to keep a stash to cover for about 24 hours at all times, and quit frankly, I know DH will be lazy about taking apart/cleaning lots of parts, so I figure the drop-ins will work out great, and even better with the one step storage kits. But I am concerned about space in the freezer, all those storage containers can build up. I originally was going to store in the lansinoh bags for easy storage, but now I am so confused on what to use.

Re: best bottles/system for storage and ease of use
I'm probably not a good resource, but here are my thoughts...
I purchased and was loaned a huge variety of bottles: Playtex drop-ins, Avent, Dr. Brown, you name it. I had close to 50 bottles ready to use. However, since I started pumping (5 days post-partum) we decided to use bottles that fit our pump (Medela PIS) so that we wouldn't have to transfer milk multiple times. The Medela 5 oz bottles are $5/each at BRU, and we've had good luck with them. Our LC recommended their nipple as less likely to cause nipple confusion among breastfeeding babies. I don't know if that's true, but the Medela bottles are the only ones we're using now. If I need to freeze milk, I usethe 6 oz Lanisoh storage bags because they're cheaper than the Medela storage bags.

We also use the Drop In system, and store milk in the Lansinoh bags. I bought quite a few packs of bags on ebay for cheaper than buying them in the store.
Good luck!
