Babies: 0 - 3 Months
I went in for my 40 week appointment on Wed morning. OB said that I was dialated to 5cm and was wondering why I hadn't gone into labor yet.......so she asked if I wanted to have my baby today. I said yes, of course. Headed home to pick up bags, called DH to let him know I was going to be admitted. My mom took me to the hospital and DH (who was already there b/c he works there) met us in triage. Was in triage for about 1 hour while being monitored and while they were doing the paperwork. Finally walked to me labor/delivery room and was put on pitocin to regulate contrax. Was on pitocin from about 2-4:30 before they broke my water. I hadn't really dialated much more, but after my water was broken, I dialted completely in 2 hours! Oh, I only lasted 20 min w/ regular, hard contrax before I got the epi. They hurt like hell!! The epi was heaven when I got that around 5pm. I laid in bed until 8pm when I was checked again and they said I was complete! Started pushing about 8:15pm and James was born at 8:43pm!!! The nurse was so good at perineal massage that I only had 1 small tear on the inside of the vag. I feel fortunate for the easy labor/delivery.
BTW, those of you who went through labor/delivery without pain management are superwomen!!! Kudos to ya'll! NoImage = NoSigImage document.write(pgdCode("
