So who is definitely going to the Dallas Zoo thingy on Good Friday?  I am thinking that I want to take Jack ... but I'm wondering what their policy for bad weather would be?  I have NO trust for Texas weather in the Spring ...

I'm thinking about taking off work and going but I need to check with DH first. We haven't taken T to the zoo yet, and he may want to be there (he has to work ?Good Friday). ?He always wants to be there for "firsts".

I'm also curious about the weather policy!

I can't remember if you had to buy tickets in advance?  We get back Thursday night and i want to go with Ike, but i think it's better to wait and see before committing...

Landon & I have purchased our tickets from Metroplex moms so we are definetly going.  I don't really trust the weather either. I'm kinda scared it's going to rain.

 I found this on their website about the cancellation policy:

 Severe Weather
If an event must be cancelled due to severe weather, we will notify you by e-mail of the cancellation and rescheduling date. If you are unable to attend a rescheduled event, you will receive a 100% refund.

 

Not sure how severe it must be for them to cancel though.

I'm pretty sure that me, Terri, & Avery have already bought tickets. I didn't even think about the weather policy though. I was so excited when I saw it and had the day off, I immediately bought a ticket. Hmmm... now you got me thinking.

Hmmm, well this is good to know. I wonder if there is certain cap on how many tickets they'll sell. I would hate for them to sell out and then the weather be great .... but I would also hate for it to pour all day and then be out $30.

The site says you have to RSVP by 04/03 so I guess if you waited until then you would know what the forecast is for the 10th.

Yay!! Sounds like a plan. Hopefully they will give us our money back if it rains. Surely they don't expect us to bring the kiddos out in the rain.

I've been trying to buy a ticket for 15 minutes now, and it's trying to charge me $35 for it, not $30.  Yes, I'm logged in.  It's quite frustrating.

Looks like I won't be able to go. We haven't taken T to the zoo yet, and DH really wants to be there to take her for the first time. ?:( ?You guys have fun though!

Yeah we are a no go too! I have off but DH does not and can't take the day off to join us. He really wants to be there for her first trip in her new wagon, so we will have to join another time.

I talked with DH and both of us including my sister and boyfriend had already planned a zoo trip for that day but the boys are a no go for the metro mom event.  They want to do the zoo at our own pace since it's Addy's first zoo trip.  I will be there on that day though so if anyone is interested in meeting up afterwards....please let me know!
