For those of you whose LO sleeps in their crib.... do you have a regular bumper in there? I want to try to get DD in her crib soon, but am not sure about the bumper situation.
We have a breathable bumper, and I'm glad, because DS's new trick is to smash his face into the side of the crib and get pissed. I'd worry too much with an actual bumper.
We took out DD's beautiful, matching bumper when we started putting her in the crib. (She had been in the PNP.) We went bumper-free until she started rolling and waking up with arms/legs sticking out between the slats.
We bought a breathable bumper, and it's been awesome- no more waking up crying b/c she's stuck and hurting, and no mushing her face against a solid, non-breathable bumper.
We have a bumper in the crib, but I don't have it above the mattress. I have it even with the mattress (hope that makes sense). I liked it better that way. Until she starts wiggling to the side of the crib, it will probably stay like that.

Ditto. ?If necessary, I'll get a breatheable bumper.?
I was very nervous about this so we bought a breathable bumper.
