Trying to Get Pregnant

WDYT?

SOo, this is probably going to seem like a stupid quesiton, but I've already tried to call my doc everyday since Thursday, and probably won't hear back until next week. I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance.

AF arrived Thursday when I woke up. Usually, I have pretty bad pms and cramps for about the 1st day. This time, no warning at all, just woke up bleeding. Halfway through the day, the cramps started to get really bad (like, drop what your doing and curl up in a ball bad). I still have them yesterday and today along with lots of clot-like bleeding.

Before BCP I would have some cramping but never like this. Would you be worried, or just assume that it's just my body still 'regulating' off BCP (3rd cycle off).

Sorry to ramble on. Like I said, I guess I'm just looking for reassurance more than anything, since I still haven't heard back from my doc and there's not much I can do about it anyway.

Re: WDYT?

  • I am 3rd cycle off of BC and though my cramps are definitely worse than before I was on BC they are no where near what you describe. Everybody is different though! Sorry, I really cant give you any advice other than to pop extra tylenol and maybe to try a heating pad.

  • Hmmm. I am really not sure what they would tell you about the cramping, but I am willing to bet that they would chock it up to your body adjusting to BC. I know that the ER docs say they won't see you unless you are bleeding severely, in addition to the cramping. I know that a lot of women go through different levels of intensity as far as cramps go, especially after BC. Sorry. Tongue Tied
  • my periods actually got lighter off of BC, but from what i've heard a lot of girls have had similar experience as to what youre describing. i wouldnt worry, bc can make your body all wacky.
  • There's a good chance that your body is still getting used to being off BCP. Is there anything that may help, such as pain killers or a heating pad? Hope you feel better soon.

  • At this point, I'm starting to worry that I'm taking too much advil. I tried aleve and tylenol too...but they didn't even touch it. I've been taking anywhere from 4 to 6 advil at a time. The bleeding is heavier than usual, but I don't think it's heavy enough to worry about yet. I guess I'm just frustrated and tired of being in pain. Sad

Definitely understandable! Try the heating pad! It always works for me!
