Ugh i felt like smacking someone last night (vent)

DH and I were invited to this Deli/Bar place to say happy birthday to a friend of ours.

So.. I didn't need to have my arm twisted, i wanted to get out of the house and well, DH and I worked at the same place (until he got let go) so i was happy to go and show off DD to some of my peers.

We get there, its outside.  Luckily i brought a blanket for her since i didn't think we'd be outside, and it was actually chilly for FL.

anyway..everyone ooh'd and ah'd.. one of the people that was an agent (step below my level of work) wanted to hold her.  No.  she's staying where she is and you were drinking thanks.  She was fine with my no (the rest was under my breath).

Some random person i have no clue who he was says "can i see her?"  Sure, you can look at her in her carrier.  So he did.  "can i kiss her forehead, she's adorable"  mm ok sure.  So he did, she was okay so far.  Then he did it like 3 more times.  Ok.. creepy guy you can stop now.  DD started SCREAMING at him.  Yay DD.  He went away, she looked at me and stopped crying.

Where was DH?  Off talking to his ex-coworkers.  He said in the car "i kept looking over and you seemed fine".  yeah thanks for leaving me to tend to DD when i work with these people and would like to say hi too.  THanks for letting me deal with Creepy guy #1 and #2 while you just talked with your friends.

Poor DD ended up with uber gas pains screaming...stupid bathroom didn't have anywhere to change her, so ended up on a bench in the waiting area covering her up as i'm changing her so some random weird guy going to the bathroom doesn't see her.

Anyway sorry for the vent.  I was "thinking" that maybe DH would get the hint that its cold and she's cranky and lets go home. nooooo.  or that two unknown people kept talking to DD (which if DH did see that he would have flipped).

One cool thing was that when 10 different people were all looking at her at the same time, you could see she was a little "what in the world is going on"....she'd look and find either DH or my face, and stop and stare at us.  Good go know she recognizes who we are
