I'm extending my leave!

I just can't imagine going back to school in 2 1/2 weeks (even though I know I'm lucky to have had off since the end of Dec!), so I started checking into extending my leave.

First I checked about not coming back until next school year, but I would have had to pay my $480 a month health insurance until Aug. and I wouldn't get paid until Aug. We can't afford that, especially since Brian just started a new job.

Then today I got another email saying that they'll let me stay home until May 1st without having to pay for my own insurance! I won't get a paycheck, but we got back quite a bit on our taxes with all of our medical bills.

I'm SO relieved and happy! I have another month and half home with my little man! Then I'll only have 4 weeks of work and I'll be off for the summer.

That is wonderful! My girls are just down the hall at school with me, but I miss them so much all day long. I would love to have that extra time with them.
