TTC After a Loss

Back from HSG: Good news and bad news

I just got back from my HSG!  It was a piece of cake.  I didn't feel a thing!  In fact, it was so easy that I actually asked them to warn me when the painful part was about to happen and they laughed at me because I was done already!  So that was such a relief.

The bad news is that I do have a little polyp that needs to be removed.  He said that it probably isn't big enough to be what has been preventing me from getting PG but it may be what has caused my m/c's.  So I have to go in to have it removed.  So, now we have to avoid TTC this month.  I'm so bummed because I was so excited to be trying with Clomid this time.

Oh well, at least it was not devastating news and hopefully it will help us to have a baby that sticks.  Just wanted to give you guys an update since I was being such a baby about going.

  • Luna, so glad it went well and it wasn't anything too serious!  Just think -- after you have this done, you'll be improving your chances dramatically with the polyp removed and clomid!!  You'll have your BFP in no time!

I sure hope that removing the polyp will stop your m/c... that would be excellent. It's a bummer to take a break but January is an excellent time to have a baby... ring in the new year! :)

I'm glad the found that nasty little polyp so you can get rid of it and get to dropping eggs and implanting sticky babies like I know you will!

  • Luna, I am so glad you had good news. Having to wait to TTC is sucky, but atleast you dont have anything "serious" wrong. That is GREAT news!!!

  • Hey Luna - so glad to hear the HSG went well and was a piece of cake for you!  As for the polyp, you are right, bad news, but good at the same time - as they can remove it AND it may be the answer to the reason for the m/c's.  That is great information - and must be providing a sense of relief for you.    Thanks for sharing.

They said that some people find it excrutiating and some have no problem.  If you are prone to AF cramps then it is more uncomfortable.  I seriously didn't feel a thing.  Last night I asked for people's stories and they were quite varied so I didn't know what to expect.

It took 10 minutes start to finish and I hopped up and walked right out.  It was no different than a pap smear.  I can't believe I was so nervous about it!
