I didnt see it on the net I just saw it on the 11pm news. Its weird she was fine for like an hour after then she just got worse

I am wondering the severity of it. I don't think they would have flown her from Quebec to NY if she wasn't stable. Maybe her condition worsened after she got to NY.

how terribly sad. I will say that I will be getting ski helmets for everyone in my family for next year. It's such a tragedy that I hope something good can come out of it, like increasing awareness & safety on the slopes.

I wondered about this too. My thinking is that they knew she was brain dead, but wanted to get her home to "die." That's the only reason I can think of for transporting her.

Traumatic brain injury is scary. A person can be fine one minute and brain dead the next.
