DEar WW homies:

how long have you been doing WW?

how much have you lost?

do you like it?

have you ever checked out the WW message boards on the WW site? those people are not my kind of people. The Parenting board is my kind of people. I'm not even talking to those other people. That's why I'm asking you about your experience.

Me:

I am on the second day of my 5th week.

10 pounds

I love it! I am breastfeeding and have a load of points, and I have a really hard time eating all of them-which I think might be bad, but I am trying to add points into my usual foods, like cheese, etc. that I had been cutting out at first...I go to bed with around 10-15 points left on average. And I never feel hungry.

And the WW mint chocolate ice cream cones are like heaven.

  • This is so hopeful. ?I JUST posted about WW in another thread. ?Really thinking about starting. ?Do you get more points if you work out at the gym a day or two a week? ?I assume they'd figure in your activity level, but I really don't know.
  • Oh Lord - I never leave any points on the table  . . . but I'm not BFing so maybe that makes the difference.

    I've been on it since Nov - totally feel off the wagon around the holidays and even posted this morning asking for a good kick in the a$$ to get me back on track.  I do like it, and I'm down 6 lbs, which isn't great, but considering just how much I've cheated, it's not too too bad.  

    And I agree about those boards ;)

  • you do- you get like a point for each 10 minutes of activity ( treadmill/ elliptical I think get you 2-3 points..I forget.)

    I know 10 minutes of walking or vacuuming are an extra point.

    It has seriously been awesomely easy to follow, and I have yet to begin exercising- I am going to call the gym today and see if I can get my old rate back...

    lost 19 pounds so far.

    love it.  I keep having set backs with my exercise because I keep getting sick.  But I am staying OP.

     

    i love the boards.  they provide a lot of support.

  • I've been in maintenance since Jan 2008.  I started in August 2007.

     

    I've lost between 40-47 lbs.  I've gained a couple back, but dropped a pants size recently, so I am sure that my running is creating more muscle which is why my clothes are loose, but the scale went up a bit...

     

    I love it.  It's the only thing that ever worked for me!

     

    I was BFing when I started (for about 6 months of it, actually), and NEVER could eat all of those points.  If you notice your supply weakening, then definitely add things, but while nursing, I worried less about getting all of the points, and more about making sure I was filling up on cheese, milk, proteins, etc.

    I am a big fan of the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches, myself!

  • I did WW before my wedding and loved it. I will likely join again once our finances are back on track. I probably only want to lose 5-10 lbs at most, but I love WW. It keeps me on track with what I'm eating and really makes sense to me.

  • Oh oh oh...and their boards freak me out.

     

    I am in the process of trying to start a more "cool" environment for moms to discuss diet/excercise/fitness; business plan is being ironed out now...just need motivation!

    Today is my weigh in day... I have finished 4 weeks and lost 9 lbs. I didn't lose anything this week and need to figure out why.

    I asked ONE question on a board once, got a totally assy answer and never posted or visited again.

  • 3wks... i have lost 9lbs!!!! I always have tons and tons of points b/c of nursing and just being fat... i am like you i am just not hunger either...
  • I started on 2/16 and am down 10.5 as of today. I'm actually 2.5 below my goal weight, but I'm still not happy with myself! I just don't think I'll ever be :(

    I only get 19 points a day. Congrats on your success!
