question on ikea cribs & mattresses

we want to get the levisik cribs from ikea but i just realized that we need to get ikea matresses also in order to fit properly.  was either mattress fine?  one is $40 the other is $70.  the more expensive one looks better but they don't have it in my store right now so i will have to see availability.

 

any other recs for cribs are appreciated also.

I don't think you need to get Ikea mattresses to go with their cribs. We use a regular old mattress from BRU in ours. I think Ikea cribs are just a smidge smaller than standard cribs, so the fit of the mattress inside the crib is a bit more snug. But it still fits!

We have Ikea cribs with standard non-Ikea crib mattresses too.

Regular mattresses fit in Ikea cribs. I'm pretty sure ours are Sealy, we got them at BRU
