Connor is the original Gaelic form, and in my opinion, the best way to spell it. I also like it spelt Conor.

Sorry, I stand corrected too. I like Connor and Conor though, as we both said. I hate Conner. I think the 2 N's work better in "American English." One N seems to read like Cone-er, like ice cream cone to some ppl.
how about cahner? i know one, poor kid will be having his name misspelled for his entire life.
O.M.G. I would stop being friends with someone if they spelled their child's name that way. Seriously, I don't know why the misspelling of this one name bothers me so much.

Actually you are wrong. Conor is the Irish spelling for the first name. Connor is the Irish for the last name, like O'Connor.
