99 days..start the count down...

Until Eian is one year, and I have reached my one year BFing goal!  I've been through it all, the first eight weeks of his life he didn't latch at all, to a few nursing strikes, to dips in my supply, to oversupply, to vitamins, to almost depleting my freezer stash, everything!

But I can see the finish line and I'm proud of myself! I didn't even have to supplement. I've still got a little ways to go but I think I can make it! 

I will most likely start the weaning process at 11mths (we nurse AM/PM and weeends, he gets expressed milk during the day). Then I'll use my freezer stash to carry me the rest of the way.

It is bittersweet, never thought it would be....

Congrats...I really hope I can make it. It's been 10 weeks and we've already had a few ups and downs. If you can make it through all of that I will just remind myself to be patient and not to give up! GL with the last 99 days.

Congratulations!  It is so great to hear that you were successful after having problems with your son latching on at first, since I am having the same problems right now.

Congrats! My son is 1 tomorrow. After I fill a shipment to send to a milk bank, I'll finish pumping but still BF am and pm (I work FT). It really is bittersweet.
