Re: POLL: About your toddler DD

  • this poll is confusing.

    lol

I picked the first one but its both for me. She wants to help if I'm doing something like sweeping the floor, and she loves helping me prepare dinner and set/clean the table. But, when it comes to picking up her toys, I now have to threaten to toss all of them in the garbage for her to pick up.

  • You need very particular and not willing to help!

  • I can't really say Nora is either one.  She's always more than willing to help with things, but nothing has to be "just so".
  • DD loves to help and she'll even assist in putting her stuff away if you ask... she wont do that without being prompted.

  • I'm just trying to see if a theory I heard this weekend is true. Someone we know has 3 boys and a girl. He claims his boys are all laid back and not too interested in making decisions or helping out and his girl is always chasing him around asking to help him fix things and help in the yard, insists on picking out her own clothes, etc.

So X, not helping in terms of her own chores, helping in terms of your chores.

  • Yes, pretty much. Also, if I phrase it like this "Brooke, can you do me a favor" she'll say "Sure" and I'll say please pick this up and she'll run to do it. But If I say " Brooke, time to clean up..." I get a big fat NO.

  • Both.  It depends on her mood.

  • The first one...she's pretty particular but always willing to help at 2yrs.  My 4yr old is SUPER particular & sometimes willing to help...the 2yr old is actually easier most of the time.

  • DD likes to help but I wouldn't say she's particular at all.
  • Confused? ?Do these things go hand in hand. ?My son is particular, picky and fussy but, does not help with chores. ?
