What are you putting in DC's Easter basket?

Any good non-candy ideas?

Re: What are you putting in DC's Easter basket?

  • I am honestly debating whether to even bother this year. ?I guess for the photo opp I should, but I am definitely not giving her candy so all I can think of is a stuffed animal, maybe a pretty decorated sugar or shortbread cookie. ?I don't plan on making a big deal of it this year. ?She has two lamb stuffed animals from last year and got another lamb at her birthday! ?So, I will definitely be going with a bunny this year!!

  • I found some little Elmo Easter eggs at Target that I'll probably just fill with goldfish. Joey loves Elmo! I also got him some bath crayons and a little toy that looks like an egg that lights up. I really don't know what it is for sure, but he went crazy for it at the store.
  • Biscuit's Eastser Book, Winnie the Pooh 700 sticker book from Costco, Mickey Mouse paint with water book. Pooh stuffed animal, Baby Alive accessory pack, M&D animal puzzle, ooh - Avon Disney roller-ball colored bathtub soap (one pink, one blue), a bubble wand, we're also doing a little candy.... and I'll probably keep an eye out for some other odds and ends.  I'm going to get her an easter balloon and tie it to her basket so it's easier for her to find ;-)

  • Last weekend I picked up the Little People Easter basket toy. It's cute.  He loves Little People, so I know he will like it. I also got some $1 books from Target that have Elmo and the Cookie Monster on it. I also plan on getting him some new PJ's.

  • Oh, I also got him a thing of bubbles too. Entertains both boys!
  • I ordered a pirate Easter bunny off Etsy (I know, I know), we'll do some bubbles, a book, some chalk and then some snacks ... Annie's cheddar bunnies, Earth's Best cereal bars, etc.  Stuff she likes and is treat like, but not candy, per se.

  • A new toothbrush, a book, pj's, yogurt snacks, organic animal cookies.

  • bath toys, eggs filled with goldfish or teddy grahams, bubbles and a coconut-filled chocolate egg. The boy deserves a special Easter treat!
  • A little stuffed lamb, a board book, sidewalk chalk, the same light up thing that I think pp was talking about (from Target, and DS also went berserk for it), bunny ears, a little hopping chick, and probably a couple of little trinkets since we'll be in Disney World for Easter.
  • We do little summer outdoor toys. Bubbles, sidewalk chalk, cars, ect. He will also get some spring outfits and a bathing suit. Its kind of a tradition, thats what we always got in our baskets, so I followed it. And books, maybe some tub toys.
  • So far I have Annies Bunnies graham and cheddar bunnies, plastic eggs, sidewalk chalk, crayons, some new bows, a bubble blowing machine, a pail and scoop, and maybe a new outside swing.
